Today, St Andrew’s students gathered together at 11:00 am to mark Remembrance Day, a solemn occasion to honour the sacrifices of those who served and continue to serve in times of war and conflict.
Students assembled outside, where the School Captains led us through a reflective ceremony. They began by a meaningful Gospel reading, offering us all a moment to reflect on the values of peace and hope.
T his was followed by reading the iconic poem In Flanders Fields, a poignant reminder of the courage and resilience shown by those on the front lines.
In a powerful show of respect, the flag was raised, and a wreath was laid in memory of those who have sacrificed so much. The ceremony served as an opportunity for our school to come together in gratitude and remembrance, instilling in our students the importance of honoring those who have served.
Lest we forget.
